About Slip Free LLC
Michigan-Based. Michigan-Exclusive. Built for Buildings Where Wet Floors Aren’t an Option.
Slip Free LLC brings the patented SureStep non-slip treatment to senior living, healthcare, restaurants, and skilled nursing facilities across the state — with the localized expertise that only a sole-state distributor can deliver.
Our Story
One Company. One Treatment. One State.
Slip Free LLC was founded to solve a problem that frustrates every facility manager in the Great Lakes state: floors that pass inspection in the dry season and turn hazardous the moment Michigan weather — or a kitchen steam cycle, or a resident shower — pushes water across the surface.
SureStep is the only treatment we apply. We chose it because it’s invisible, patented, factory-warranted, and engineered to outlast coatings. The standard warranty is 1 year commercial / 3 year residential; an extended warranty is available to keep jobs in the pipeline as the treatment naturally fades.
Over years of Michigan installs we’ve refined scheduling, cure timing, and surface preparation for tile, stone, porcelain, concrete, and enamel — the materials most facilities across the state already have underfoot — with BOT3000e slip resistance testing available upon request.
Operating statewide from a single authorized channel keeps our quality consistent: every crew is factory-trained, every job carries the same warranty, and every customer reaches the same person when they call.
Today Slip Free LLC serves facility operators across Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids — alongside every Michigan facility in between.

Who We Serve
Four Priority Verticals. One Compliant Floor.
Each segment we serve has a distinct compliance climate and resident profile. SureStep is the constant — the application is tuned to the floor, the traffic, and the wet-area pattern of that environment.
Priority 01
Common areas, dining rooms, bathing suites, and resident corridors — wet areas where the consequences of a single slip can be life-altering. Sure Step gives families, staff, and regulators confidence in every square foot.

Sterile environments where infection control and floor safety meet. Sure Step is invisible, hospital-grade, and auditable to OSHA + MIOSHA standards. BOT3000e slip resistance testing available upon request.

Quarry-tile cooking lines, prep sinks, dishwashing bays, and bar floors. Sure Step is applied overnight so kitchens are back in service before the next breakfast prep — no menu downtime.

High-acuity resident care where floor safety intersects with regulatory scrutiny. Sure Step delivers measurable wet-traction gains without disrupting the care environment or altering floor appearance.

Segment-Specific Treatment, Statewide Accountability.
A senior living bathing suite is not a restaurant cooking line. The application timing, dwell, and surface prep differ — the engineering doesn’t.
Priority 01
Common-area corridors, dining rooms, bathing suites, and resident-room transitions are treated while the building is occupied. We schedule overnight when possible to minimize disruption to residents — and we work with your life-safety team on a per-area basis because the cure time on a wet floor matters when residents are up before dawn.
- High-touch wet areas: bathing, dining, hallways to common rooms
- Falls in this population are the most expensive claim type in long-term care
- Schedule shown to staff, marked day-of, and walked before handover
Priority 02
Sterile environments where infection control and floor safety meet. SureStep is invisible, hospital-grade, and auditable to OSHA and MIOSHA standards — with BOT3000e slip resistance testing available upon request.
- No fumes, no off-gassing — safe for occupied clinical space
- Compatible with standard hospital floor-cleaning chemistry
- Documentation supports Joint Commission env-of-care audits
Priority 03
Quarry-tile cooking lines, prep sinks, dishwashing bays, and bar floors. SureStep is applied overnight so kitchens are back in service before the next breakfast prep — typically before the first scheduled opening. No menu downtime. No closure.
- Quarry tile, ceramic, and porcelain — the materials most kitchens already specify
- Typical restaurant install: 4–8 hours for a single footprint
- Surface remains usable as soon as cure completes (within hours)
Priority 04
High-acuity resident care where floor safety intersects with regulatory scrutiny under state survey. SureStep delivers measurable wet-traction gains without disrupting the care environment or altering floor appearance — and we coordinate with your environmental services lead so residents aren’t disturbed during treatment.
- Per-floor scheduling to keep resident care continuous
- BOT3000e slip resistance testing available upon request.
- No alteration to floor color, sheen, or texture — predictable for residents
Michigan Premises Liability
A 2023 Reform Worth Knowing About.
Michigan’s 2023 premises-liability reform narrowed some of the assumptions courts had used to dismiss slip-and-fall claims — including the long-standing “open and obvious” defense. For facility operators, that means a reasonable diligence standard is increasingly part of the conversation, and documentation of wet-area treatment is increasingly part of the answer.
We don’t offer legal advice. What we do offer is an installed, measured, factory-warranted treatment — with BOT3000e slip resistance testing available upon request. — that gives your team a defensible record of the floor-safety decisions you’ve made.
This is general information, not legal advice. Consult your counsel for guidance on how Michigan law applies to your facility.
